Since 1958, L&L Products has developed custom material solutions for the automotive industry. This chemistry backbone provides us an in depth knowledge of the chemical systems and their relation to vehicle performance.
Our R&D teams around the world have grown to accomodate the evolution of the automotive industry. Over 10 full time chemists and 35 engineers are working worldwide to develop high-performance materials. Over the years we have developed more than 70 custom formulas to satisfy our customers’ specific needs. Our laboratories around the world are fully equipped to perform thorough analysis and validate materials according to our customers’ exact specifications. Intensive cross-fertilization and close cooperation between our technical centers generate synergies and new solutions for today’s high-performance automobiles. Innovation Innovation is the engine of our industry. For almost five decades, L&L Products has been listening to our customers to understand their needs and challenges. Over time, as cars became more and more complex, L&L Products has developed several new materials, parts and applications to answer new needs: high expanding foams for low cost sealing, noise-absorbing material for acoustics, and most recently high performance foams for structural bonding. Team synergy Governmental and other organizations worldwide are developing aggressive safety tests as well as more stringent pollution and efficiency requirements. Our competence centers in North America and Europe have created innovative concepts to answer the requirements of USNCAP, EuroNCAP, FMVSS, IIHS, etc. as well as helping OEMs meet their total vehicle weight goals. The specificity of each market strengthens the L&L Products group as a unique homogeneous entity. Virtual development CAE is totally integrated in our design process. This fundamental conception tool allows for performance optimization and high predictability of the final solution behavior. We have developed several solutions for crash and NVH applications that bring the customer with a fully validated product within 6 months. Our original design methodology makes the best use of the material. We put the right quantity of material where it is needed. When stress flows are intelligently monitored, there are significant cost and weight reduction opportunities.
